Gendermaker

I took the gendermaker test - purely for fun of course I'm not about to rush out and buy clothes and toys... This was the result! Excuse the lighting of the photo. The result is pink which indicates our baby should be a little girl!

On another note, I'm 14 weeks pregnant today which means goodbye 1st trimester, hello second trimester! I'm relieved to be honest, first tri is full of worries about absolutely every little niggle (not that I still don't worry) but I feel a bit more relaxed now. I can't wait to start feeling our baby move and bond with him/her.

I'm starting to think I'd like the baby's sex to be a surprise now!

Shopping for double buggies

Is going to be such a nightmare. Had a look in Fenwicks today just briefly, and since Jake is so tall it really narrows the selection.

This is going to be a tough decision, thankfully I have a while to decide!!

First time we saw you!

Had our first scan today, baby seems happy and healthy enough! Facing down when we first saw them but turned over thankfully so she could get its measurements!

I'm also measuring a week ahead so this makes me 13+1, with a due date of 18th November!

It's scan day today!

Haven't been able to sleep so I'm looking a bit worse for wear, just worried whether baby is going to be okay and excited to see him/her too! I'm so glad I have an early appointment rather than an afternoon one, this wait is bad enough!

12 weeks today!

I haven't made a post in a few days as I've had terrible sickness, to the point I was really badly dehydrated and threatened with going to hospital for a drip. The doctor seemed to think it was a bug, but the fact I am already suffering from sickness and the fact I'm pregnant meant I was getting dehydrated much quicker. I'm feeling a lot better now though, it's just taken me a couple of days to pull myself around.

I'm 12 weeks today! Yipee! When I found out I was pregnant this milestone seemed like a million years away! It's only 4 days until my scan now I think it's going to drag especially over the weekend!

My first scan with Jake was done at 11+2 so I'm really excited to see the difference as I'll be 12+4 this time!

10 week bump (or lack of!)

10 week bump photo! I only have about 4 pictures of my bump when I was pregnant with Jake, and it's something I really regret. Sean is taking photos of me weekly so we can see the growth this time!

Pee Stick!

12th March 2012, I peed on a stick and got this as a result. It was actually 2 days before I was due my period, and I was having some very weird twitching in my left hand side, almost like a kind of muscle spasm! I had to go out and buy yet another digi test just in case and it said exactly the same! It was a weird experience to find out so early, my period was a whole week late before I realised and found out I was expecting Jake!

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome! I hate first posts, they're always so awkward. Basically I started this blog to record my second pregnancy, as I didn't spend time doing this with my first and I really wish I had. This is our second - and last - child, so this is likely the last time I will get to experience pregnancy and everything about it. At the time of writing I'm 10 weeks and 3 days pregnant based on my LMP (last menstrual period), although this could always change once I have had my dating scan in a couple of weeks. I'll update more about myself later, this is rather awkward to do from my phone!
